Advanced Environmental and EMI & EMC Testing Facility in Atlantic Canada

ESL Labs operates one of the most advanced environmental testing facilities in Eastern Canada, supporting defence, aerospace, marine, industrial, and emerging technology sectors. Located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, near Maritime Forces Atlantic and the centre of Canada’s Ocean Technology sector, our environmental testing lab is strategically positioned to support complex testing programs for clients across North America.

Our nearly 40,000 sq. ft. environmental testing facility is equipped with advanced environmental simulation systems, large-scale climatic chambers, dynamic vibration and shock systems, and a Frankonia semi-anechoic EMC chamber. The size and configuration of our equipment allow us to test large and complex systems that many laboratories cannot accommodate.

New Testing Capabilities in Kanata, Ontario

Through our parent company, J-Squared Technologies, our testing capabilities now extend to a new 26,000 sq. ft. facility in Kanata, Ontario.

The facility is home to Canada’s only large-format NEMP-WM (Nuclear Electromagnetic Pulse – Waveguide Method) testing capability, designed to simulate nuclear electromagnetic pulse conditions for defence and mission-critical systems. It also includes secure storage for classified projects and advanced manufacturing and assembly space.

Together, our Dartmouth and Kanata facilities provide expanded Canadian capabilities to test, validate, and prepare mission-critical products for real-world deployment.
